Možnosti respirační fyzioterapie u dětí v předškolním věku
ŠKROVOVÁ, Jiřina
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of frequent respiratory diseases in preschool children and the possibilities of using respiratory physiotherapy techniques. Respiratory diseases are among the most common diseases in children. They include both trivial diseases and life-threatening conditions. Inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system are among the most common diseases in the Czech Republic. Patients usually have an acute course, but there is often chronicity. Respiratory physiotherapy is an important part of physiotherapy in patients with respiratory problems. Prolonged and repeated breathing difficulties have a negative effect on the psychomotor development and movement of the child. It is advisable to start respiratory physiotherapy as soon as possible, i.e., from an early age, in order to prevent chronicity and complications associated with it. The goal of respiratory physiotherapy is to achieve the most effective pulmonary ventilation and reduce bronchial secretion in the lungs. Home physics and parental cooperation are also very important in the physiotherapy of preschool children. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the anatomy of the chest and the physiology of the respiratory system. The most common respiratory diseases, the possibilities of using respiratory physiotherapy and other techniques to influence respiratory stereotype and posture are also described. Finally, a possible examination is briefly described. A qualitative research method has been used to process the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The research group consisted of three preschool children who suffer from frequent respiratory diseases. Two probands were recommended by a paediatrician and one on the recommendation of Master Bínová. The research took place in the supervisor's office. The research part of the thesis describes the goals, research methodology, the nature of the research group and includes detailed case studies of individual probands. After obtaining information from the initial examination, an individual exercise unit has been set up, which the probands were practicing at home. Due to the young age of the probands, the therapies have been set up in an entertaining way and according to the child's ability to concentrate.

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Natália Čontofalská Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Jana Pourová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Natural drugs in the treatment of productive cough Cough is a physiological defensive reflex and it is also a symptom of many acute or chronic diseases. Cough can be categorized as dry irritant or productive. Productive cough can be treated by conventional drugs and medicinal plants. Medicinal plants contain various types of chemicals and some of them have expectorant properties. Chemical constituents are commonly members of saponin, flavonoid or essential oil groups. This diploma thesis presents summary of the most important results and information from literature, pharmacological experiments and clinical studies confirming their efficiancy. Some of the articles provide explanation of mechanism of action of the chemicals with expectorant properties. Other effects of these plants may also contribute to the therapeutic effect.

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Daniela Vojtechovská Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Jana Pourová Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Natural drugs in the treatment of dry cough. Cough is a natural protective reflex of the airways. It is one of the universal symptoms and one of the major reasons to see a general practitioner. The main causes of cough include inflammatory diseases of upper and lower airways of viral or bacterial origin. However, cough can arise as a consequence of more serious diseases. Antitussives used in conventional therapy of cough are reliable, but they have many restrictions and adverse effects. Phytotherapy, including the therapy of dry cough, is a current trend. Unlike conventional antitussives, using natural drugs in therapy has several advantages, such as treating the main cause of cough, better safety, fewer adverse effects (natural drugs lack central adverse effects). In addition, natural drugs do not induce drug dependence, have fewer drug interactions, the duration of their use is not so limited, and they are easily available. The aim of this Thesis was to summarize available information on the use of natural drugs in the therapy of dry cough, and to supply reliable pharmacological data which would support...
